We are asking you, our members, for recommendations and nominations to fill four seats on our board that is slated to term out in November.
As a member of the NYC NOWC board, you will be part of an active board that is currently involved in strategic planning, governance, and oversight of NYC NOWC staff members. We would require your attendance (usually via calls or in-person) to a monthly meeting 3 hour meeting, as well as being involved with aspects of administration and strategy for our growing organization. It’s a rewarding role for the right person and would require a time commitment of 3-5 hours per month.
Other Requirements:
Belonging to at least one committee.
Committees to include: Events/Fundraising, Executive committee that reviews executive compensation, Audit, HR (once every other month) and Budget (to sign off on budget)
Expected to attend 2 events/programs a year and conference, board must be on one working group/committee, point person for one issue
