Single Due for 3 Memberships

When becoming members of NYC NOWC, members will share a joint membership with:

  • US Federation of Worker Cooperatives (USFWC), national grassroots membership organization for worker cooperatives composed of over 300 member organizations and over 10,000 worker-owners nationwide.
  • Cooperative Economic Alliance of New York City (CEANYC), NYC’s cross-sector solidarity economy network that aims to strengthen and expand community-led, democratically-controlled initiatives — from worker, financial and consumer co-ops to community land trusts and gardens, mutual housing, and low-income housing co-ops.

That means you are accessing both local and national networks by becoming a member of NYC NoWC.

  • FREE LOCAL CONFERENCE REGISTRATION: NYC NoWC hosts annual conferences and gatherings that bring worker owners & supporters across the city. This opportunity has a $50 value.
  • FIRST IN LINE FOR CO-OP RESOURCES: Through the Worker Cooperative Business Development Initiative, NYC NoWC grants a limited amount of financial support to worker coops in the form of our various yearly coop programs, including Cooperative Sustainability Fund ($2000 value). As a member, you will be given priority in our grant selection process.
  • TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE: Members can request up to 1 hr consultations.
  • BOARD OF DIRECTORS: All members will be eligible to participate in annual Board elections. Members are also eligible to run to become a board director themselves.
  • STAY CONNECTED : Learn more about our emergent resources around our local & national network through our regularly monthly member newsletter digests & upcoming new communications channels.
  • ADVOCACY: As a 501c6 organization, NYC NoWC has the mandate to advocate for worker cooperative futures on behalf of our membership. As a member, you will have opportunities to
    • Get involved with advocacy efforts including City Council meetings, City Hearings, and actions that advance the interest of worker coops and the solidarity economy
    • Run for Advocacy Council

    Since 2018, USFWC has provided our members with an option for group dental and vision insurance for worker-owners. To date, over 40 member organizations in urban and rural areas across the U.S. have participated in this program, with nearly 500 people participating in the plan.
