Worker Cooperative Assembly: Collectivize, Democratize, Strategize

Event Details

Please join us at NYC NOWC’s Annual Assembly at CUNY Law! This full-day event will be a critical place for members of the worker cooperative community to learn, vote, and plug into all the exciting work that is currently taking place in NYC. In the morning we will be hosting NYC NOWC’s Worker Cooperative Strategy Session, a deliberative body that all worker-owners are invited to, where we will decide on organizational priorities for the next fiscal year. After a delicious lunch, in the afternoon we will be hosting alongside CUNY School of Law’s Community & Economic Development Clinic a Co-op Policy Town Hall where we will explore what it means to collectively do policy work, learning about public policy developments on the horizon at the State and city level, and create a space for cooperators to dig deeper and help us strategize policy priorities for the coming year.

At this year’s Worker Cooperative Strategy Session, all NYC cooperators are invited to learn about all the exciting work our network has done in the past year, strategize about where we should be headed in the coming year, and vote on programming proposals and advocacy leadership.  Together, we will vote on member-driven programming and prioritize programming needs in general, explore a developing worker-owner bill of rights, vote in our new Advocacy Council members and more!
