Worker cooperatives are growing in NYC, New York State and beyond. Policymakers are considering new policies to support worker cooperative development. In addition, since 2014, NYC City Council has received a total of 5 million dollars to support worker cooperative development. In this workshop, Worker-owners will have an opportunity to provide input into what policies would support the growth of your businesses, and what kinds of support you hope to see from organizations receiving funds from City Council. We will also learn about what policies have been proposed, and how we can support them getting passed.
