We are excited to announce the election of our three newest board members: Jamila Khan (Palante Tech), Rachel Isreeli (Center for Family Life), Zara Serabian-Arthur (Meerkat Media); and the re-election of our current Board Chair Adriana Mendoza (Sunset Scholars). Alongside our remaining board members: Telesh Lopez (Caracol Interpreters), Carmen Dixon (NAACP Legal Defense Fund), and Raybblin Vargas (Bits’nBites); we look forward to working with such a committed group of cooperators in order to continue making NYC NOWC a more responsive, effective, and agile membership-led organization.
NYC NOWC would also like to acknowledge the incredible work of our outgoing board members: Dana Skallman, Nicholas Bedell, and Sheila Akbar. Without their critical insights and contributions, we wouldn’t have been able grow and strengthen the organization to the degree that we have over the past several years.
