Becoming an Independent and Sustainable Cooperative

Event Details

Over the past year, a critical mass on New York City-based worker cooperatives have moved towards independence from their developers. Many other worker cooperatives are self-started ventures and have a limited connection to resources in our network. The road to self-sufficiency shouldn’t come with unreasonable burdens for struggling businesses or a lack of connection to critical resources. In this session, we will review the programs, services, and resources that are currently available to worker-cooperatives navigating independence. We will also identify the gaps that currently exist in the ecosystem and identify ways of addressing them.
